In 2014 we audited the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore building in Via Sant'Agnese, Milan. The building covers approximately 15,000 m².
The work combined extensive field surveys with energy modelling at both building and room level.
Field surveys show how a building is actually used and how its systems really operate. Modelling at room level then adds detail, revealing differences between spaces that a whole-building view might miss.
The study identified opportunities to improve energy efficiency through optimisation of existing installations and retro-commissioning. For an established university building, this is often the most sensible path: making better use of what is already in place before considering larger investments.
