the brief

Project management for a landmark music venue

In 2000 we provided project management services for the Nuovo Auditorium di Roma, working for Aerimpianti. The project covers approximately 25,000 m².

The complex, designed by Renzo Piano, is known today as the Auditorium Parco della Musica, one of Rome's major venues for music and culture.

Buildings made for performance ask a great deal of their technical systems. Audiences expect comfort, and performers and recordings need quiet, stable conditions. Achieving both takes careful coordination between design, installation and the many specialists involved.

Project management provides that coordination, keeping work organised and decisions aligned from start to finish. This assignment forms part of our portfolio of engineering management for cultural and public assembly buildings.

A short call is usually enough to tell whether the certification target and the engineering can be made to agree from the start. We can talk through where the constraints are likely to sit, what the rating realistically requires of the building, and how the two come together before any drawings are committed.
