We provided energy modelling services for the Mall of Split shopping centre in Croatia. The development covers approximately 61,700 m².
Energy modelling simulates how a building is likely to use energy across the year, taking into account its form, envelope, systems and patterns of use. It allows different options to be compared before they are built.
Large shopping centres have long opening hours, many visitors and a wide mix of spaces, from shops and restaurants to circulation areas. Their energy demand for heating, cooling, ventilation and lighting can be significant, which makes a clear understanding of performance especially valuable.
This project forms part of our portfolio of building performance analysis for large retail complexes.
