the brief

MEP engineering for a church complex in Sicily

In 2025 we provided building services engineering for an ecclesiastical complex in Bagheria, Sicily, working with Arch. Tripodi. The project covers approximately 1,800 m².

Church complexes combine worship spaces with rooms for community activities. They are used in varied ways across the week, which calls for systems that deliver comfort when needed without wasting energy when the spaces are quiet.

In the Sicilian climate, keeping interiors pleasant in warm months is as important as heating in cooler ones.

The project continues our long experience with religious and community buildings, and our collaboration with Arch. Tripodi, with whom we also worked on Villa Senjak in Belgrade.

A short call is usually enough to tell whether the certification target and the engineering can be made to agree from the start. We can talk through where the constraints are likely to sit, what the rating realistically requires of the building, and how the two come together before any drawings are committed.
