The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive makes sustainability reporting mandatory, standardised and audited for companies in its scope. We prepare organisations with real-estate holdings for it, starting from the buildings, where most of the reportable footprint sits.

What is CSRD?
CSRD is the EU directive that requires companies in its scope to report sustainability performance against the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), with the report subject to assurance. It rests on double materiality: what the organisation does to the world, and what sustainability matters mean for the organisation financially.
For companies with real estate, a large share of what has to be reported comes from buildings: energy, emissions, climate risk and resource use. The assurance requirement means those figures need the same traceability as financial data.
Our contribution is the part most reporting advisors cannot supply on their own: verified building-level data and the engineering understanding behind it. The disclosure arrives with its evidence.
the process
How CSRD reporting works
step 01
Scoping
Applicability, timeline and the double-materiality assessment for the real-estate dimension.
step 02
Gap analysis
Current data and processes compared with the ESRS disclosure requirements, with the shortfalls identified.
step 03
Data engineering
Metering, collection and calculation methods brought to the traceability assurance expects.
step 04
Reporting cycle
Disclosure preparation and a repeatable annual process, coordinated with the organisation's auditors.

The hardest part of CSRD is not the writing, it is producing building data an auditor will accept.
For organisations holding real estate, a large share of the reportable footprint sits in those assets, so the work that decides whether the report holds up happens at the meter long before it happens on the page.
01 data
Assurance-ready data
Assurance providers check whether a figure can be traced to its source and reproduced. We assemble building data the way that check expects: documented methods, consistent boundaries, records that can be followed from the report back to the meter.
02 scope
Climate risk assessed in-house
The ESRS climate disclosures ask for an assessment of physical climate risk to assets. That assessment is part of our existing engineering work, so it does not have to be commissioned separately.
03 EFFICIENCY
One foundation, four frameworks
The frameworks overlap considerably. We build the data foundation once, aligned to all of them, which saves the organisation collecting the same figures several times over.
04 expertise
Engineering interpretation
An implausible figure needs someone who understands the system that produced it. Because we design and test building systems, we can tell the difference between a data error and a building that is underperforming, and each calls for a different response.

A short call is usually enough to place your timeline, size the data gap, and separate what needs building now from what can develop over a reporting cycle.
