LEED Core & Shell addresses the parts of a building that are within the developer's control: the structure, the envelope and the central building systems. It suits large developments where tenants complete their own interiors.
At this scale, decisions about energy, water and materials have a lasting effect. Certification offers a clear framework for making those decisions well and for showing the results to future tenants and users.
