What is LEED?
LEED provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient and cost-saving green buildings, and is recognised globally as a symbol of sustainability achievement. It is developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), with certification administered by GBCI.
The rating system addresses multiple building lifecycle phases, from design and construction through operations and maintenance, and covers all major building types, including commercial, residential, healthcare, education and retail.
Our role is to keep the rating consistent with the engineering. Credit targets are written into the MEP and façade brief from day one, evidence is scheduled into the construction programme, and the submission window opens onto a complete file.

How LEED certification works
step 01
Registration
Project registration with the USGBC, a scoring workshop with the design team, and a written credit-target memo that becomes part of the engineering brief.
step 02
Documentation
Credit selection and evidence gathering throughout design and construction. Energy modelling, daylight studies and submittal reviews are scheduled into the programme, not bolted on at the end.
step 03
Review
Submission to GBCI for design-stage and construction-stage technical review. We hold the review correspondence, write the responses, and defend the credits in the GBCI review.
step 04
Certification
Final certification at Certified, Silver, Gold or Platinum level. We handle the plaque order, the case-study publication, and the operational handover so the rating stays valid in O+M.
