Since 2002, Energo is using, advanced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation technology for complete studying and reliable solutions for the Architects, design studios and manufacturers. These studies are reliable and able to allow  an immediate assessment of a thermo-fluid dynamic product, room or an entire building.

Our CFD analyses, thanks to the “visualization” of thermo-fluid dynamic phenomena, determine the performances of a prototype, a virtual or a real one, allowing therefore the development and optimization of the products before their effective construction. Reducing post production modifications and improving of existing products, is our prime goal.
By CFD techniques, designing of HVAC systems is also much more  effective and flexible than using traditional methods. We are capable of supplying a highly reliable prediction of behavior of systems (in different conditions and scenarios in the same time) which comfort degree is reachable in the environment.
This approach can provide better choices and still brings all optimizations to the system installations during the design phase, guaranteeing a better implementation of the product with the reduction of money costs and the spent time.

  • Resolving and visualization of problems: Cfd modeling is able to give a detailed visualization of flow lines, heat exchange, particle spread and many other variables of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics in hvac systems or it's components.  This way we gain a better understanding (numerical, but above all visual) of all the physical phenomena that, with a lot of difficulty, would be demonstrated in a test of laboratory. Through cfd simulations, risk of having eventual problems is reduced. Therefore, reducing spent time and money in order to characterize and to resolve performance of a system or of a single component, once sent in production.

  • Cost reduction of basic system design: Cfd simulations are capable of providing optimization of hvac systems, giving a preview of the real  operation and preventing typical over sizing of a system usually made by designing methodology that does not use this type of aid.

  • Repetitive possibilities: One of the main characteristics is the repetitiveness of the virtual experiments. The simulations may vary any  parameter of our interest. That would be almost impossible or very expensive to do in laboratory, because of  high costs. Time is often a limiting factor.

  • Designing time and cost reduction:   Cfd simulations reduce time and cost spent for designing. For a example, time spent for design of a component is reduced by lowering the number of prototypes, which  are needed for the start of serial production. The modeling is, without a doubt, much faster and economically  favorable then any real physical test.  Reducing the time for hvac system design is made through the prevention of expensive modifications after  construcition, which are in case of cfd aided design anticipated much earlier.

  • Performance improvements: Cfd simulations can anticipate the behavior of a component or a system. This way it is possible to study great  number of virtual scenarios giving more effective choices that contribute to overall improvement of  performances.

  • HVAC ducts Cfd simulations, thanks to their high reliability, eliminate any assumptions on pressure loss values. Pressure loss  data given by simulations are very accurate and are of great importance.  They have direct influence on dimensioning of components of the system and indirectly on it’s demands for  Energy. Simulations prevent consequent over sizing, made by conservative way of designing.

  • Distribution elements and components   Cfd simulations of distribution elements and components give all parameters of fluid mechanics and  thermodynamics involved in air distribution.  They allow a verification of operation and performances of distribution elements and components an offer  possibility to characterize eventual malfunction or ideas for the improvement of the product.

  • Fluid heat exchange  Whether designing a simple radiator for heating, a floor panel or complex heat exchanger, the cfd simulations is  able to give a maximum heat exchange possible.  Such phenomena depends on series of physical events that can be inquired and visualized by cfd simulation.

  • Flows, ventilation and smoke extraction    From geometry of a room, or an entire building, fan and diffuser positions and other elements of a system it’s  possible by cfd simulation to predetermine the velocity of distribution and air temperature.  Naturally, the simulations are take into account all environment variables influencing the model, such as:  boundary conditions, radiation, etc. Also cfd makes smoke extraction design much easier and obvious.
